Rambling Session - Holiday Season (11/01/2024)

Good morning!

I hope you had a good Halloween (if you celebrate)! If you went Trick-or-Treating, I hope you had fun, stayed safe, and got your candy fill.

We took our daughter Trick-or-Treating last night. This was her third Halloween and she is really getting the hang of it and had a blast (minus a couple scares..)!

Now that it is November first it is time to switch gears towards Christmas.

Historically we have never been too crazy with holidays, but since our daughter was born we have definitely tried to lean into them. We did a good bit for fall/Halloween, and we are ready to start getting into the Christmas/winter spirit.

Yesterday I ordered about a dozen 45 RPM Christmas records for an old jukebox I got from my grandparents when they moved some years back. My daughter LOVES dropping quarters in and dancing to the music. I figured I would swap out some of the oldies for some holiday tunes. An added bonus, if you leave it plugged in it randomly plays every 10-15 minutes. I thought it would be neat for it to play Christmas classics throughout the day.

Anywho, as for the site, I just got in some HVC Cigars and went ahead and lit the Seleccion No. 1 Maduro this morning while I got pictures for the listings. This was my first Seleccion No. 1 of any wrapper and it was quite good. The profile throughout had a toasty, woody base with some subtle dark fruit and dry cocoa powder. It would be a perfect one to pair with a morning coffee I believe. It also performed perfectly, which is a nice bonus!

Have a nice Friday and a great weekend!

Take care,

-Trevor
