Rambling Session - Couches (07/08/2024)

It’s been a minute since I posted a Rambling Session, as I had been mixing in some other content and I took a long weekend for the holiday.

This morning I smoked an Aganorsa Leaf La Validacion Connecticut while I was back in the shop. What a stellar Connecticut, just as every blend of the La Validacion line is.

First, I hope everyone had a safe and happy July 4th!

Second, I hate fireworks. They were still going off last night some… Ever since they became legal for residents in PA we listen to them to the wee hours of the night for several days surrounding summer holidays and New Years. It’s great…

Lastly, and what’s been on my mind most lately, is couch shopping. We are in need of some new living room furniture because our hand-me-down sofa and loveseat are in dire need of replacements. We settled on leather or possibly faux leather just for the sake of durability and fabric isn’t a great option with the little one’s messes. We figured that would be easy enough…

Turns out we must be pickier than we thought because this has been a struggle. We have found one sofa and loveseat we absolutely love, but I can’t drop over $5K on a sofa and loveseat. Besides that one, we have struggled to find something that suits our style and color preferences. There are a ton of very light or very dark options that would suit us if they were our shade of brown. There are also many options out there that are nearly perfect except the loveseats have center consoles. That is something neither of us prefer the look of, and would not really serve us.

Can I also say that it is ridiculous that manually reclining furniture, that is higher quality, is practically a unicorn? I have come to accept the fact that we won’t find a manually reclining sofa and loveseat that also is our shade of brown and style.

I have looked at so many options the past week that I started dreaming about it..

Take care,

-Trevor
