Happy Hump Day.
As 2023 nears its end I have been working on preparing for next year. Something I have been wanting to do, but have been hesitant, is to tidy up and plan out my humidor. I try to maintain a decent selection of great cigars from “small” companies. I am a small operation, so my resources can be limited, but I do want to make an effort to better serve you, and the companies I support, by offering more of their portfolios.
Now, I can’t conceivably bring in every blend in every vitola from a brand - there are some sizes that don’t move well, just as some blends don’t move the needle either. This has been a bit of a learning experience on its own for me, and I am getting a better grasp on things. However, consumer behavior isn’t completely predictable.
Today I kicked out the “Tidy-ing up” process by starting a Clearance section. Check it out and use code “Clearance” for a nice deal on those items!
I also began planning out my humidor for next year. I want to start by properly managing the brands I currently have, and then I have a good list of companies I want to bring in to offer. My intent is to make sure that, though I may not offer the most brands, I want to be able to serve the brands I do offer as best I can by having multiple facings, and keeping them stocked - at least the more popular ones.
One of the brands I have happily been carrying and will be rounding out is the Accomplice line from Principle Cigars. Segue. I smoked an Accomplice Connecticut Robusto this morning while I did some of this planning. This is an awesome cigar made at the Julian Sued factory. It’s an earthy, bready, spicier Connecticut with an ode to classic Connecticut blends with some nice creamy hay. It is always a pleasure to smoke!
As for the inventory planning - what are some things you’d like to see added to the site?

Hey Adam!
I didn’t accidentally delete your comment this time 😂
I appreciate that feedback! I love hearing from customers who were introduced to a brand by me and loved them. It’s quite rewarding for me!
I’m definitely a creature of habit and tend to order stuff I’m familiar with. I like when you bring a brand into the spotlight that I’m not aware of as that makes me want to try new stuff. Keep up the good work!
