I just finished Pre-Suasion, a book I had gotten as a recommendation from a customer, today at lunch. It was a pretty good read that certainly complemented the author’s first work - Influence.
I had never been much of a reader. Through 16 years of schooling I probably only actually finished a handful of books from start to finish. From graduation until about a year and a half ago I don’t think I finished one. Then I got a book on guitar legend Danny Gatton and I read it pretty quickly. Then I started into some woodworking books and over the course of about a year I read 4.
Well in the last 2 months I have started and finished 8 books… It kicked off with Atomic Habits. That book had inspired me to consider what I wanted from life and to be more intentional in achieving it. Reading more was not one of the things on my list, but I found that I thoroughly enjoy reading books about the things on my list. So I guess, for the time being, I’m a reader…
This morning I smoked a Caldwell Anastasia (Blue Band) Caspia. I missed the boat on this blend upon initial release, then smoked one after they became harder to find and I loved it. Fast forward, a customer that has become a good friend actually found some of these. We split what his source had when they came in yesterday. I couldn’t wait and lit this sucker up this morning while I did some garage work.
