Happy Sunday!
It was an absolutely beautiful Sunday around these parts! I took advantage this afternoon and sat on a sunny hill out back, with my bare feet in the grass and started into Mediations: A New Translation from Gregory Hays.
I have limited knowledge of Marcus Aurelius but have been becoming interested in stoicism and this book was recommended to me by a customer of mine. I’m eager to become familiar with Marcus and his thoughts.
I had been reading Pre-Suasion by Robert Cialdini, but thought it would be a bit too technical and in depth for how I was feeling today.
If you’re a reader, do you like to read one book at a time or keep a few going for various occasions and feelings?
I enjoyed a Lampert El Gringo while I did my reading and the room on a Tiki from Principle Cigars while I did some bush hogging after my relaxation time. I’m a huge fan of the whole Oro line from Lampert and the El Gringo never disappoints. This was my first go with the Tiki, and it was good, but the El Gringo got the nod for today!
